I think I hear a knockin', There's an echo in my brain, Where's the door, I know it's open, There's that echo once again! Do you worry "Am I worthy?" The knockin's still upon the door My strength is wanin' I can't take this any more! CHORUS: I can feel the change is comin' But I just don't know If I turn my eyes upon You, Will You show me where to go? I wanna pull the door back, But I just can't break these chains of steel! These chains of steel, these chains of steel ... Oh, I'm in the middle Bound by sorrow and by shame. Are You sure You really want me? Am I going to be the same? When Your power begins to change me Will it hurt and will I cry? The fool in me screams liar! But my heart says he's the lie. CHORUS Can you stand to hear the knockin' Open up to see the light Where dark shines bright as day And weakness is as might You've got to open up your eyes To know that it is real. His power's so strong That He broke these chains of steel! I can feel the change has come And now I know I turned my eyes upon Him And He showed me where to go! You oughta pull the door back, Let Him break your chains of steel. Your chains of steel, your chains of steel

In a breeze comes The Word Renewing strength for your life Gently leading those who are young By the greatness of His might Has it not been told you From the beginning? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord everlasting, our God Is creator of all, to the end of the earth Listen, listen, He's calling your name! His power is strong, no one is missing, Calling each by his name. Lift up your eyes up on high, His glory has come to you now. Have you not understood From the beginning? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord everlasting, our God Is creator of all, to the end of the earth Listen, listen.

They'll Know 09:45
Oooooo ... oooooo ... By this all men shall know that you are Mine! We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord, We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord, And we pray that all unity may one day be restored, And they'll know we are Christians by our love! We will walk with each other, We will walk hand in hand We will walk with each other, We will walk hand in hand And together we'll spread the news That God is in our land And they'll know we are Christians by our love! (Instrumental) Sing our souls to the heavens For the love showered down, Raising up a holy nation And a people to Your own Chosen only for Your glory, Chosen by Your righteous light, And they'll know we are Christians by our love! By our love ...

I'm not awake yet, for the day began long ago There's time for things to come, Why worry when we're so young? I'm not awake yet, why trouble me with your cares? I'll gain my strength and find A way to satisfy my needs. Relax, put your mind at rest, See, all we have is good! Don't bind your lives with selfish plans, Be strong, be wise, be free, la la la la ... You're not awake yet, though the day's about to end, Time's running out for things to come, Do you worry you're never so young? Are you awake yet, avoid the test and lose the rest You thought was yours today, Though you can't sleep for eternity ... Relax, put your mind at rest, See, all we have is good! Don't bind your lives with selfish plans, Be strong, be wise, be free! He's strong, He's wise, He's free!

Lost (Instrumental) God Calling What's that sound, that melodic flow, Hypnotizing me to a silent glow? The song of a loved one, mostly a friend, If only to hear it again and again ... Music to my ears, it creates such a feeling A burning sensation with the power of healing. It pierces my heart, but joy has no pain, If only to feel it again and again ... Again and again, again ... (Instrumental) Is it old wind with his wisdom and strength, Whispering importance of life and content? Revisited call from my memory within, If only to hear it again and again and again ... It's deep and it drums like a clear waterfall, The voice that I hear from the Lord God of all, For should I choose silence and never in vain? Perhaps I will hear him again and again Thank you God, Praise you Jesus, Praise the Lord ...

In the beginning was the Word And the Word was with God. And the Word, He was God, He was with God In the beginning. Through Him all Things were made, Without him nothing Has ben made In Him was life and that Life was the light of man, He was the light of man The light shines in the darkness but The darkness has not understood. The light shines in the darkness but The darkness has not understood. (Instrumentsl) The light shines in the darkness but The darkness has not understood. In the beginning was the Word And the Word was with God. And the Word, He was God, He was with God In the beginning.

about

This album was recorded live at the Newman Center in Tempe, Arizona, September 18, 1982. Remastered July 2017 (from cassette!), released July 5, 2017.

This album contains the recordings of a Chosen concert performed live back in 1982. The recording quality is not professional and the playing is not without goofs and mixing issues. But it's about the best example still existing of what we sounded like back then. By request, most of the verbal meanderings between songs have been excised.

The nominal album charge is considered to be for Chosen's compositions. Cover tunes copyrighted by other artists are not available for individual download and are not considered to be part of the album's price. Think of them as "bonus tracks".

A PDF "liner notes" booklet is in development and will include song lyrics (including lyrics and credits for the cover tunes), plus an assortment of Chosen photos from the early '80's. Check back later to download it.
