about

A far more "effecty" version of Wake Me, with chorusing making the classical guitar resemble a 12-string. Some people don't like it, but personally I prefer this mix. It also preserves a brief bad start on the song, with Jerry's comment "That was good ..."

lyrics

Wake Me (When the World's Over)

I'm not awake yet, for the day began long ago
There's time for things to come,
Why worry when we're so young?
I'm not awake yet, why trouble me with your cares?
I'll gain my strength and find
A way to satisfy my needs.
Relax, put your mind at rest,
See, all we have is good!
Don't bind your lives with selfish plans,
Be strong, be wise, be free, la la la la ...

You're not awake yet, though the day's about to end,
Time's running out for things to come,
Do you worry you're never so young?
Are you awake yet, avoid the test and lose the rest
You thought was yours today,
Though you can't sleep for eternity ...
Relax, put your mind at rest,
See, all we have is good!
Don't bind your lives with selfish plans,
Be strong, be wise, be free!
He's strong, He's wise, He's free!
